10 Proven Tactics for Gaining an Edge over the Competition by Saivian

December 24, 2021 by Andrew Leave a Comment

In a world where the average edge gamer plays over 3 hours a day, it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd. It doesn’t matter if you’re a hardcore FPS player or a casual gamer.

Below are some simple yet effective tips you can use to gain an edge over your opponents and put yourself ahead of the competition: Saivian

1. Increase your Aggro Radius

You should always, always be aware of the location of enemies in the area (hope you’re wearing headphones). Do not focus on one enemy at a time unless it’s absolutely necessary. If the enemy is too far away to cause any harm then just ignore them for now, but if they have entered your aggro radius then it’s time to take them down.

2. Use Your Environment to Your Advantage

There are many objects in the game world that can be used to your advantage. For example, if you’re playing a game like Halo 5: Guardians and you find yourself up against an opponent with a shotgun, take cover behind a pillar or object, wait until the opponent stops firing, then pop out and take them out before they can react. You can also use corners to your advantage. It’s harder for opponents to shoot you if there’s a wall or corner blocking their view of you. This is especially effective when playing first-person shooters because it will be harder for enemies to hit you with their weapons.

3. Use the Mini-map

Using the mini-map is essential no matter what game you are playing – it provides valuable information about where your opponents are, whether they are dead or alive, how many opponents are on each team etc…You should always have it open during game play even if it means covering up part of your (a technique known as “mini mapping”).

4. Use Your Abilities over an edge

Make sure you use your abilities to their full potential. For example, in games like over watch, make sure you use your abilities quickly and efficiently in order to gain an advantage edge over the enemy team. In multiplayer games it’s also important to coordinate with your teammates so that you can take down the enemy as quickly as possible.

5. Take Breaks over an edge

It’s very important to take breaks during long gaming sessions – this will help prevent fatigue and will help keep you focused on the game. Make sure you take a break every hour or so and drink plenty of water. Also, don’t forget to eat healthy snacks and meals – gaming sessions can be long and tiring so it’s important to fuel your body with the right kind of food.

6. Use a Mouse with a Scroll Wheel

This may seem like a minor detail, but using a mouse with a scroll wheel can be very helpful in games like Call of Duty or Battlefield. It allows you to quickly scroll through your weapon arsenal and select the right weapon for the situation.

7. Use Headphones

Using headphones is essential for any gamer – it allows you to hear enemies coming from behind you, or enemies that are sneaking up on you. It also allows you to communicate with other players more easily.

8. Master the Controls over an edge

It’s important to master the controls of the game you’re playing – this will give you a distinct advantage over your opponents. Be sure to practice in offline mode before playing online against other players.

9. Use a Gaming Mouse over an edge

A gaming mouse can be very helpful in first-person shooters and other types of games. It allows you to move the cursor more quickly and accurately, which can give you a definite edge over your opponents.

10. Play with Friends

Playing with friends is always more fun – and it also gives you an advantage an edge because you can coordinate your attacks better. Make sure you have voice chat enabled so that you can communicate with your friends during game play.

Conclusion by Saivian:

There are many things you can do to improve your game. Some of these tips may be obvious, while others may not be, but them all help in one way or another. Take the time to follow each tip for maximum results!

These are just some basic tips that you can use to help give you an edge over the competition. Remember, practice makes perfect so keep playing and learning new techniques to help improve your skills. Good luck!
