Reservation is available to Maharashtra citizens who have lived in the state for more than ten years. Fluency in Marathi (both spoken and written) is a requirement for applying to these tests.
- There are age restrictions for taking up this exam. The minimum age requirement is 19 years old but the maximum age differs for different categories. Such as for the general category it is 38 years old, for Ex-Servicemen it is 43 years old, for backward classes it is 48 years old, for PwD( Person with Disabilities) it is no more than 45 years old.
- The candidate should be proficient in Marathi. He or she must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification from a recognized university. These exams are also open to candidates in their last year of college. Candidates who fulfill the educational qualifying criteria for the MPSC examinations are eligible to apply.
- For post-by-post specifics on physical measures, candidates may consult the official notice. However, for the position of Dy Superintendent of Police, male candidates must be 165 cm tall, and female candidates must be 157 cm tall.
What is the Syllabus for MPSC?
There are two papers in the MPSC syllabus – General studies and CSAT. Paper one contains a history of India with a main focus on Maharashtra. Physical, Social, and Economic Geography of India, Maharashtra, and the World Maharashtra’s economic geography, as well as that of India and the rest of the world.
