Use honey to create delicious recipes (honey mustard sheet pan chicken with Brussels sprouts anyone?) DIY facial masks, did you know that busy bees can also make another sticky substance that can be used in a variety of ways? Beeswax is the magical material that bees use to create honeycomb.

Remaining beeswax is a byproduct of honey extraction. You can then melt this into blocks online, or at your local farmers market, if you choose. We think you should. Bees wax, a natural substance, can be used in beauty and cooking routines as well as in your home. It has a long shelf life, has been found intact in the tombs and graves of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, is well-refined, and has protective properties. This all-natural, long-lasting product is a great choice. But what do you do? To get you started, here are uses for beeswax.

    1. Candles

While you can spend $10 on ready-to-go votive, it is possible to spend $10 making your own. It’s true; it is easier to buy a candle from the store than make your own. You can choose the scent of your candle and control what goes in it.

    2. Lubricate Wood

Your great aunt had a mahogany dresser that you loved and passed to you. It wasn’t until you started to notice how creaky the drawers creak when you even touch them. Its beeswax, you guessed it. You will be amazed at how the natural lubricant works on creaky drawers, doors, and windows.

    3. Make Your Own Beeswax Wrap

Newsflash – Plastic is terrible for the earth. However, plastic wrap is not the best option for keeping food fresh. Beeswax wrap, which is washable, reusable, and compostable, is made from cotton and beeswax. It also contains natural ingredients like tree resin and jojoba oils.

    4. You Can Make A Batch Of Caneles

These French pastries are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and delicious all around. Traditionally, special moulds are covered in butter and beeswax before being frozen to give them their distinctive shape. It is safe to eat beeswax.

    5. Polish Furniture

Is your dining room chair looking a bit worn? You can give your chairs a new look with all-natural furniture polish. You only need two ingredients and some elbow grease. You can make it easy: Mix one part beeswax and three parts coconut or olive oil.

    6. Make Crayons

You can get your kids involved in this family-friendly project. In a double boiler, melt equal amounts of soap shavings and beeswax. Mix the beeswax and soap shavings in a double boiler. Pour into moulds. Add a few drops each of food coloring to create different shades. Stir well until combined. Let the crayons cool for at least two hours, and then you’re ready to use them.

    7. Make Your Lip Balm

Beeswax has a remarkable ability to hold in moisture all day and is often used in cosmetics. It is ideal for moisturizing chapped lips. Even though it sounds daunting, this is possible if you can create your face mask. Then you can make lip balm.

    8. Body Butter

You can make your body butter with beeswax. You can make this DIY body butter right in the jar. You can also add coconut oil or your favorite essential oil.

    9. Make Bronze Items Sparkle

A solution consisting of 1/3 pound beeswax mixed in 1-quart turpentine can help prevent your candle holders from becoming tarnished. You can buff the item with a damp towel.

    10. Wood Chopping Boards Can Be Maintained

It’s used daily, so melt a half-teaspoon of beeswax in a cup of oil. Then wipe the board with a damp cloth. This mixture can also be used to moisturize and protect other wooden surfaces, such as spatulas and spoons.
